Troy Deeney has been keen to praise an Arsenal ace for his performance against Wolves on the opening day of the Premier League season.
Arsenal kicked off their Premier League campaign with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Gary O’Neil’s Wolves at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners are hoping this year will be their year to finally kick on and lift their first Premier League title since 2005 with Mikel Arteta’s side coming second in the past two seasons to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Arsenal have signed Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori and are closing in on a deal for Mikel Merino but the Gunners will have to rely on their attackers heading into the new season.

Troy Deeney keen to praise ‘immense’ Bukayo Saka
This season could be a key one for English winger Bukayo Saka with Arsenal set to rely more on the academy graduate.
Against Wolves, Saka was electric with the Englishman netting a brilliant goal against Wolves in the second half to effectively make the game safe.
Former English striker Troy Deeney has taken over the BBC’s Team Of The Week column and included Saka in his debut team.
“I worked on Arsenal’s win against Wolves for Talksport and Saka was immense,” Deeney said. “He ran them ragged. They couldn’t live with him. He scored a great goal and his assist for Kai Havertz was perfect as well. Great cross, assist and goal.”
In the Premier League last season, Saka netted 16 goals in England’s top division and provided nine assists for the Gunners, and another prolific season in front of goal will be needed if Arsenal are to lift the league title.
Bukayo Saka has to be Arsenal’s key man this season
Arsenal failed to sign RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko earlier this summer with the Slovenian forward opting to remain at the German club, with a release clause set to come into effect in 2025.
The Gunners have not added a striker to their squad and, unless more sales are completed during the remaining days of the transfer window, a new forward may not be brought in.
While this may be a risk to rely on Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, the Gunners may not have to rely on either of them to be their goalscoring outlet with Saka.
The Englishman has to step up to the plate this summer and be the man that the Gunners rely on and he has started the season in some style.
