Troy Deeney told talkSPORT that Tottenham duo Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane are ‘phenomenal’, as he compared them to Liverpool duo Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.
The Watford striker thinks the thriving Spurs stars are like the their Liverpool counterparts in the sense that you cannot stop them from scoring.
Both Kane and Son were on the scoresheet once again over the weekend when they helped Spurs record a comfortable 3-0 win over Leeds.
Deeney spoke in awe of Son and Kane, who have been involved in 13 goals this season which is the joint-most in a single season in Premier League history.
“Just enjoy it,” said Deeney. “I think that’s what we are all doing. I think this is why they are so good. Everyone is watching saying ‘they are the two to stop’ and you still cannot stop them.
“It’s like when you watch Liverpool and you go ‘Oh, we are going to stop Salah and Mane’. And they keep scoring. They are just phenomenal talents. Great times and we should enjoy it.”

Jose Mourinho deserves huge credit for getting both Son and Kane to play in this fashion because whilst they were outstanding under Mauricio Pochettino, they weren’t playing at this level.
But Spurs fans will be hoping this can result in something special and a trophy at the end of the season.
Both players are at the peak of their powers and Mourinho knows exactly what it takes to get over that line, so the pressure is on others to ensure they can maintain those very high levels.
