Manchester City supporters provided a mixed reaction as to whether they want Kevin de Bruyne and Sergio Aguero to start against Tottenham on Sunday after they returned to training.
Whilst Tottenham pray they can win their first trophy since 2008, those at the Etihad are planning for their fourth League Cup on the bounce at Wembley.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham sacking Jose Mourinho has helped because this is his field of expertise.
Nonetheless, ahead of that Wembley showdown, both De Bruyne and Aguero have been back in training, as Pep Guardiola told his pre-match press conference.
But with a Champions League semi-final looming, some Man City fans have their eye on the bigger prize.
It’s obvious that the Champions League semi-final is bigger than the League Cup final, but as Pep proved in midweek against Aston Villa, he is willing to play a pretty strong side.
Last season, de Bruyne didn’t start the League Cup final, but he came off the bench, so will the same happen again?
Tottenham fans would no doubt love that and it seems so will those from the Etihad.
