Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson, amid healthy competition for Jürgen Klopp at left-back.
What’s the story?
Well, some fans on Twitter believe Tsimikas could soon take Robertson’s spot in Liverpool’s starting XI.
The £11.75m man has really stepped up this season, after Robertson began the campaign with an injury.
Tsimikas has provided two assists in five games, impressing fans with his exquisite crossing ability and drive to get up and down the pitch.
In many ways, he’s basically a carbon copy of Robertson.
It’s testament to Liverpool’s recruitment team that the Reds were able to sign such a like-for-like option to deputise for the Scot.
Now, some supporters believe he will no longer be just a deputy.
Liverpool would be mad to bench Andy Robertson for Kostas Tsimikas

Don’t get us wrong, we’re huge fans of Tsimikas and he has arguably been Liverpool’s best player so far this season.
However, Robertson is Robertson.
He has far too much credit in the bank to lose his spot after a few bright displays from the 12-cap Greece international.

The 27-year-old has impressively provided 37 assists in 181 games for Liverpool, while also scoring five goals.
There’s no denying that he is Europe’s best left-back, and it would be criminal if Klopp dropped him for Tsimikas.
Nevertheless, let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about the situation…
