Speaking on the Sky Sports Football YouTube channel, Ryan Fraser has been chatting about Allan Saint-Maximin and his skills in training.
As you can probably imagine, the Frenchman is an absolute nightmare to play against in training. He’s quick, he’s trick and he’s cheeky.
Understandably, there’s plenty of temptation to just swing a leg at Saint-Maximin after being nutmegged for the umpteenth time in the same week, but Fraser says that if anyone dares kick out at the winger, they’ll land themselves in trouble with Eddie Howe.
Indeed, Fraser even went as far as to say that a player may be dropped from a game for going in too hard on Saint-Maximin.

Fraser spoke about Saint-Maximin and the protection he receives from Howe.
“He’s very good isn’t he? And you don’t want to kick him because if you kick him the gaffer gets you into trouble, and then you won’t play at the weekend, so you end up just getting megged by him,” Fraser said.
Look out for him
To be fair, we can understand why Howe looks out for Saint-Maximin in training because it would be so easy for all of his teammates to get wound up by him.
Saint-Maximin can make even the best defenders in the Premier League look like a fool on a weekly basis. Can you imagine the type of stuff he probably tries in training? It must be infuriating to be constantly megged, spun and put on the floor by his constant trickery.
Luckily, Howe is keeping an eye on him and stopping him from getting lumps kicked out of him on a daily basis.
