The January transfer window is finally over, and what a month it was for Arsenal.
The Gunners tightened their grip at the top of the league and while they didn’t land their top target – Mykhaylo Mudryk, they did make three exciting new signings.
Jorginho, Jakub Kiwior and Leandro Trossard all arrived, giving Arsenal a fresh new dynamic to go into the second half of that season.
So, when everyone is fit, what is now Arsenal’s strongest starting XI? Let’s take a look.

This current Arsenal side has been in strong form this season, sitting atop of the league, so any changes to the starting lineup would be cautiously made. Jorginho, Kiwior and Trossard are all talented players and could potentially bring depth to the squad, but it would be surprising if any of them walk into the starting XI right away.
In goal, Aaron Ramsdale will, of course, continue to start.
Defensively, Ben White has established himself as the starting right-back. The young centre-back pairing of William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes has been solid this season, with Saliba’s strong form earning him a call-up to the French national team for the World Cup. Oleksandr Zinchenko starts at left-back, offering technical brilliance and attacking intent from deep.
The midfield is where Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka will anchor the team. These two bring a mix of physicality and technical ability, with Partey’s all-action displays becoming a staple of Arsenal’s play this season.
Martin Odegaard, who has been a revelation since joining from Real Madrid, will play as the number 10, pulling the strings and dictating the pace of the game.
On the wings, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli offer pace and creativity, with their direct dribbling and clinical finishing making them two of the most dangerous players in the league.
Up front, Gabriel Jesus will lead the line when he is back from injury despite Eddie Nketiah’s great form.
While the new signings will provide depth and competition to the squad, it’s unlikely that they will come into the starting XI, given the strong form of the current side.
However, with the Premier League being such a physically demanding league, the new signings will provide important cover and get plenty of minutes, ensuring that Arsenal can maintain their title challenge.
