Arsenal Under-18 head coach Jack Wilshere has raved about reported Tottenham Hotspur midfield target Weston McKennie in The Sun.
Wilshere is a fan of Juventus and USA international midfielder McKennie, who has been linked with a move to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham in the January transfer window.
The former Arsenal midfielder was impressed by how McKennie played for the USA against Wales in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Wilshere believes that the 24-year-old could be a problem for England when the Three Lions face the USA in Qatar on Friday evening.
According to CalcioMercato this week, Tottenham are favourites to sign McKennie from Juventus in the January transfer window.
Former Serie A champions Juventus are reportedly willing to sell the American star for €30m (£25m).
We covered the report here on HITC Sport.

Jack Wilshere on reported Tottenham Hotspur target Weston McKennie
Wilshere wrote: “I was very impressed with the USA’s Juventus star Weston McKennie. In the draw against Wales.
“He was a key man in their midfield and England will have to be on their toes. He’s strong on the ball and also has a few tricks up his sleeve.”
Weston McKennie has not had the best time at Juventus, but he is a very good midfielder who is still only 24 and could be a very good signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window.
The American will know that if he does well for his country at the 2022 Qatar World Cup, then his stock will rise.
McKennie has made nine starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A for Juventus so far this season.
The 24-year-old has scored one goal and given one assist in those matches.
The USA international has made four starts and one substitute appearance in the UEFA Champions League for Juve so far this campaign, scoring two goals in the process.
