Aston Villa were very unfortunate to suffer defeat at the weekend.

Mahmoud Trezeguet of Aston Villa looks on during the Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Aston Villa at Selhurst Park on August 31, 2019 in London, United Kingdom.

Aston Villa winger Trezeguet has thanked fans for the support after another close call at the weekend.

Villa led twice against Arsenal before conceding two goals in the final 10 minutes to lose 3-2.

The 24-year-old has been a regular for the Villans, starting five of six Premier League games to kick off the season.

Trezeguet knows Villa can’t let up, and thanked fans for pushing them through, while Tyrone Mings echoed his sentiments.

Villa sit in 18th place in the Premier League, winning just one game this season so far.

Their performances have deserved far more and Villa’s players know they cannot let up.

If they continue to play as they have been then their rewards will come, but they need to stay positive.

They have two games this week, away at Brighton in the Carabao Cup, before hosting Burnley in the Premier League.
