Trevor Sinclair has claimed that Filip Kostic would be a ‘really good signing’ for West Ham United after the possible Gianluca Scamacca deal.
The former Hammer added that Kostic is a player who has ‘lots of industry’ and he thinks the Eintracht Frankfurt star would provide much-needed competition on that left channel if he signs.
West Ham are closing in on the Sassuolo striker, with suggestions that when that deal is done, the club will focus on Europa League winner, Kostic.

Bringing both of those two to the club would be a statement of intent from those in East London, and finally, some much-needed depth to the squad.
Nonetheless, with it looking likely that the Scamacca deal will get done, this is what Sinclair had to say about Kostic and his style of play, as he told talkSPORT.
“Lots of industry,” said Sinclair. “I think he has got good quality on the ball. Looks after it and retains possession really well, which is what you need to do in the Premier League.
“He has a good end product. Works hard. He looked like a competent and experienced operator when he played against West Ham in the Europa League.
“I think that would be a really good signing if they can get that over the line, especially on that left-hand side. You have got Cresswell in there.
“You don’t have many natural left-footed players on that side, so to have him there, it’s a great addition to the squad.”

TOP SIX OR A TROPHY
That lack of depth last season cost David Moyes and his players another top-six finish in the Premier League, as they will be hoping to learn from their mistakes ahead of the new campaign.
But if West Ham can secure another top-six finish, then it will be seen as another positive step forward.
If not, then the fans would more than happily welcome a mid-table finish and a trophy to their name because they are craving to end their long-awaited drought.
The Irons will have three realistic shots at winning silverware next season – the FA Cup, League Cup and the Europa Conference League.
If Moyes is provided with depth in quality to his squad, then he doesn’t need to put his eggs in one basket when the going gets tough during the second half of the season, so that help will be needed.
