West Ham United are out of the FA Cup after losing 1-0 to Manchester United in extra time on Wednesday night.

The Hammers battled away brilliantly but couldn’t find a goal, and Scott McTominay’s 97th minute strike was enough to win it for United.

David Moyes will understandably be disappointed with the result, and especially with his side’s lack of attacking ability.

West Ham managed just one shot on target, and were without Michail Antonio due to a minor injury, with Andriy Yarmolenko leading the line.

Yarmolenko picked up an injury himself, with teenager Ademipo Odubeko coming on to replace him against his former club.

That should have been a huge moment for Odubeko, but he ended up being substituted himself later in the game, bringing in Maunel Lanzini in extra time.

Some have slated Moyes for shattering the 18-year-old’s confidence having brought him on and then replaced him – but Hammers legend Trevor Sinclair has offered support to Odubeko.

Sinclair has taken to Twitter to send just three words, stating ‘Go again Ademipo’, urging the striker to come back stronger from last night’s blow.
