Everton won against Watford in the Premier League on Friday evening.

Everton's Ross Barkley scores their second goal

Everton attacking midfielder Ross Barkley has been in the news lately, and not for his on-pitch exploits.

Earlier this week, Everton manager Ronald Koeman told BBC Sport that he wants Barkley to sign a contract by the end of next weekend, or he could be sold in the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old, though, responded well to Koeman’s comments. On Friday evening, the England international scored in the 56th minute to help the Toffees win 1-0 against Watford at Goodison Park in the Premier League.

Former Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United winger Trevor Sinclair was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Barkley’s goal against Watford.

Barkley is a very good attacking midfielder and has huge potential; one should not be surprised if in the coming years the Everton star becomes world class.

The 23-year-old has scored five goals and provided eight assists in 32 Premier League starts for the Merseyside outfit so far this season.
