Trevor Sinclair wants the West Ham United players to get behind under-fire Slaven Bilic.

Slaven Bilic applauds his fans at the end of the Premier League match between Burnley and West Ham United at Turf Moor on May 21, 2017 in Burnley, England.

West Ham United legend Trevor Sinclair has called on the Hammers to save manager Slaven Bilic from the sack.

Bilic is under fierce pressure in East London following Friday’s 3-0 defeat by Brighton & Hove Albion at home.

BBC Sport reported on Sunday that the Croat will remain in charge of the Irons’ next two games – against in-form Spurs and Crystal Palace – but two defeats would really ask a question of United’s hierarchy.

But Sinclair has said on Twitter that he hopes the playing staff will “have a right go” for their under-fire manager during this rocky period.

Bilic’s side visit a bang-in-form Tottenham side in a last-16 League Cup clash at Wembley on Wednesday.

Defeat there would hurt, though wouldn’t necessarily be the end of the world. The big thing for West Ham is the Premier League and if the former Besiktas man can turn things around on that front then it could go a long, long way to securing his immediate future.
