Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side won 5-0 against Astana in their Champions League qualifying match last night.
Trevor Sinclair has reacted positively to Celtic’s victory over Astana in the Champions League last night.
Celtic were hugely impressive as they won 5-0 in the first leg of their European clash.
The Bhoys now surely have an unassailable advantage, ahead of their trip to Kazakhstan next week.
And Sinclair was very impressed by what he had seen from his former side.
Celtic were expected to be given a tough examination by Astana, but they strolled past their opposition from minute one.
Brendan Rodgers’ side were completely dominant and never looked back after Evgeni Postnikov’s own goal gave them a lead.
Scott Sinclair scored twice, before James Forrest slotted in a fourth and a late own goal from Igor Shitov completed the triumph.
Celtic now appear certainties to progress to Champions League, where they will be looking to make a bigger impact than last season, when they went out in the group stages.
