Brendan Rodgers has been a remarkable success at Celtic.
Trevor Sinclair has told The Celtic Bhoys website that Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is a “more humble” and “improved” manager since taking the reins in Glasgow.
The Northern Irishman is adored by the Parkhead faithful after making tremendous strides in a very short space of time.
The former Liverpool manager, appointed in May 2016, qualified the Hoops for the Champions League group stage for a second time in two seasons and Celtic thrashed Anderlecht 3-0 last month for their second-ever away win in that competition – and first in five years.
In addition to that, Rodgers is yet to lose a game domestically after guiding the Hoops to an unprecedented invincible treble in Scotland in his debut season.
He arrived in Glasgow eight months after being sacked by Liverpool but he has well and truly enhanced his reputation in spite of his struggles toward the end of his stint on Merseyside – and Sinclair called it.
“The experiences that he now has under his belt has made him up there amongst the most highly sought after coaches in World football, his stock must be sky high,” he told The Celtic Bhoys website.
“I called it when joined Celtic, that “he’d be a more humble and improved version of himself” and that’s exactly what he now is.
“His Celtic team have an identity and style of play which the capacity of home fans at Paradise are loving and IF BR ends up leaving for a giant club they’ll continue to support him for what he’s done not just for Glasgow Celtic FC but also for Scottish football.”
