Tottenham Hotspur-linked Nuno Espirito Santo is set to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Molineux club revealed this afternoon that the Portuguese coach is leaving Wolves after four years at the club.
And interestingly, Nuno is among those said to be on the radar of Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy.
Spurs are yet to hire a long-term replacement for Jose Mourinho and have been rejected by the likes of Brendan Rodgers and Julian Nagelsmann, to name but a few.
The Express claimed in April that the 47-year-old was on Levy’s radar.
Here’s how Trevor Sinclair reacted to the departure on Twitter today:
Is Nuno joining Tottenham?
Well, that remains to be seen, but fans of the North London club might be underwhelmed for the most part.
Nuno has done an excellent job at Molineux but remember, Spurs were in the Champions League final only two years ago.
And if Mauricio Pochettino – who was sacked six months later – was deemed no longer good enough for the Lilywhites then that right there already sets the bar ridiculously high.
And although Nuno’s done a cracking job with Wolves, he needs far more qualifications to take on a job like this.
