Trevor Sinclair has been forced to make tough choice between three of his former clubs West Ham United, Queens Park Ranger and Manchester City.
Trevor Sinclair celebrates scoring for Queens Park Rangers
Sinclair played for the Hammers more than any other club throughout his career and helped them to their highest ever Premier League finish of fifth.
He is also fondly remembered for his performances as an exciting dreadlocked winger for QPR and THAT overhead kick.
After leaving West Ham Sinclair joined boyhood club Manchester City where he played 82 times during a four-year stay.
So when the pundit was asked to make a tough choice between his old clubs it was interesting to see his response.
The former England winger was asked on social networking site Twitter to choose between three scenarios:
1) West Ham to finish fourth – and qualify for the Champions League.
2) QPR to win the Championship – and be promoted back to the Premier League.
3) Manchester City to win the Champions League.
None of those scenarios is possible this season with West Ham well out of the running for the Champions League places despite finishing just four points off fourth last term, QPR down in 15th place in the Championship despite Ian Holloway turning things around at Loftus Road and City knocked out of the Europe’s elite competition by Monaco last week.
And Sinclair’s choice will warm the hears of Hoops fans as Sinclair was brave enough to make a call.
Sinclair – now a pundit – forced into tough call
“Good question, think I’d like to see QPR back in the Prem,” Sinclair said on Twitter.
In an ideal world of course Sinclair would probably like to see all three scenarios come true, no matter how unlikely that might seem at the moment.
