Manchester City lost Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

England made it two wins from two games in this international break, as they beat Croatia 2-1 at Wembley Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

After Andrej Kramaric had put Croatia in front, Jesse Lingard and Harry Kane pounced late on to turn the game around and give England the win, and a place in the semi-finals of the UEFA Nations League.

It has been another successful international week for Gareth Southgate, and he will be particularly encouraged by the impact of winger Jadon Sancho.

The 18-year-old started against the United States on Thursday night in a superb performance, and then came off the bench to provide a late spark as England chased the game.

Sancho continues to go from strength to strength, having already hit five goals and seven assists in just 16 games for Borussia Dortmund this season in a stunning campaign.

Sancho is being rewarded for a bold decision, as he left Manchester City for Dortmund in 2017, deciding to push for first-team football early having seen his path blocked at the Etihad Stadium.

Sancho is now showing what City are missing, and whilst they do have Leroy Sane, Riyad Mahrez and Raheem Sterling, they may still wish they had Sancho coming through as well.

Now, ex-City ace and current pundit Trevor Sinclair has taken to Twitter in order to suggest that Pep Guardiola needs to bring Sancho back to the club already, urging the Spaniard to make a move to re-sign Sancho in 2019.
