The West Ham United legend would like to see the Irons sign the Welshman it seems.

Former West Ham United star Trevor has appeared to back a potential move for Aaron Ramsey.

Arsenal legend Lauren said this week that he would like to see the Wales international end up at the Irons.

He told The Guardian: “West Ham could be a great fit for Ramsey should he leave. He’s settled in London so he won’t want to move, but West Ham gives him the chance to get first team football whilst becoming a leader in the dressing room.”

Ramsey, who earns £110,000 per week [Total Sportek], is out of contract in North London next summer and Unai Emery is not expected to extend his existing deal.

He would be a magnificent signing for the Hammers, and some of the club’s fans seem to agree.

But could the Irons afford his wages? Probably not.

Well, they may be able to satisfy his current £110,000 per week salary, but the 27-year-old, according to Joe, wants at least £220,000 on a weekly basis, which puts him out of United’s range.

Still, West Ham need a midfielder of Ramsey’s dynamism. Jack Wilshere could provide that spark, but it hasn’t really worked out for his former Arsenal team-mate in East London as of yet.
