The former City pair cannot believe that Claudio Bravo has become the number one at The Etihad.
Manchester City received a thumping today at Goodison Park, as Everton put Pep Guardiola’s men to the sword on Merseyside.
Goals from Romelu Lukaku, Kevin Mirallas and a couple of firsts for Tom Davies and Ademola Lookman saw Everton take all three points – and City humiliated again.
Torino’s Joe Hart in action
Trevor Sinclair, who spent four years at Manchester City, tweeted after the game his belief that some of the blame may be down to karma regarding the way the club treated goalkeeper Joe Hart:
Hart was told at the start of the season by Pep Guardiola that he was not what was needed between the sticks for his style of play at Manchester City.
Instead the club signed Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo, who has struggled to have any form of positive impact at the club so far this season.
Manchester City’s Claudio Bravo looks dejected
Hart meanwhile was loaned out to Italian side Torino and it is hard to see how Bravo is a better option.
He was not the only former City player with this viewpoint. Shaun Wright-Phillips sent out this tweet:
There is certainly a period of change at City for the time being and that is something fans and pundits may have to adapt to.
But with Bravo playing poorly and results not going their way it is no wonder fans are quick to judge.
