Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has become a vital player for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Alexander-Arnold has enjoyed a rapid rise to prominence at Anfield, since breaking into Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The right-back has only really been a regular at Liverpool for the past two seasons, but he is already regarded as the finest right-back in the Premier League by many.
The England international is tasked with being one of Liverpool’s most creative players, despite playing in defence.
And Alexander-Arnold now has his sights set on wearing the armband for the Reds, as he has no interest in moving to another club.
“I am not shy in saying that [being captain] is a dream for me,” the youngster said. “Whether it comes true or not is not up to me – I don’t pick who is captain.
“But that is something I would love to do one day. Captaining Liverpool is something I have always dreamed of and it is something that motivates me.
“I have always been a Liverpool player, Liverpool has always been my home. I have never thought about changing clubs.

“I always thought Liverpool was destined to be my club. When I grew up, the dream was always to play for Liverpool. Now I am living the dream and I can’t see that changing.”
Alexander-Arnold is still only 21, so he may have to be patient before he is handed the armband.
But, if he does stick around, Alexander-Arnold appears to have a real chance to becoming the leader of Liverpool in the years ahead.
Liverpool are next in action against Aston Villa at the weekend, when Alexander-Arnold looks almost certain to start.
