Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are important players for Liverpool.

Virgil van Dijk is one of the best central defenders on the planet, and the Liverpool star is a truly world-class player.
The impact that the Netherlands international has made at Liverpool since his move from Southampton in January 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £75 million has been astounding, with the Reds reaching the final of the Champions League in two successive seasons and winning Europe’s premier club competition this term.
There is no wonder that the 27-year-old centre-back is valued at between €90 million (£80.05m) and €120m (£106.73m) by the CIES Football Observatory, but what is interesting is that his teammate and fellow defender Trent Alexander-Arnold is rated higher than him.
According to CIES Football Observatory, the 20-year-old England international right-back is valued at between €120m (£106.73m) and €150m (£133.41m).

Alexander-Arnold has been superb for Liverpool in recent months and has established himself as a key figure in manager Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The fact that the Englishman is only 20 years of age does increase his value, and he can only improve and develop in the coming years.
