Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has raved about Curtis Jones after the midfielder scored two goals against Leicester City on Monday evening.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has said on Sky Sports that his Liverpool teammate Curtis Jones has stepped up when he had to.

The England international right-back made the comments about Jones after Liverpool beat Leicester City 3-0 away from home at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Monday evening.

Jones scored two goals.

Both came in the first half.

And both the assists came from Mohamed Salah.

It was also Egyptian forward Salah who provided the assist for Alexander-Arnold’s goal in the 71st minute.

Alexander-Arnold said about Jones: “He is a lad who obviously would have wanted to play more throughout the whole season, but he stepped up when he got his chance.

“And that’s what he can do. I think he has shown his quality on and off the ball, and he has definitely impressed everyone.”

Trent Alexander-Arnold praise well-deserved for Liverpool teammate Curtis Jones

In our view, Curtis Jones was one of the best players for Liverpool against Leicester City on Monday evening.

The 22-year-old started on the left of a midfield-three.

Jones had one of his best games in a Liverpool shirt and impressed Michael Owen, and he showed why he has started nine games in a row.

The midfielder imposed himself in midfield, showed a lot of maturity on the ball and off it, and controlled the tempo on the game.

And he took his goals extremely well.

Jones has made 10 starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool this season.

The Liverpool no. 17 has scored three goals and provided one assist in those matches.
