Micah Richards has said on Match of the Day on BBC One (10:49pm, September 25, 2021) that he felt sorry for Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold against Brentford last night.
Liverpool played out a 3-3 draw with Brentford away from home in the Premier League on Saturday.
Former Manchester City right-back and BBC Match of the Day pundit Richards has said that he felt sorry for England and Liverpool right-back Alexander-Arnold.
Richards said on Match of the Day on BBC One (10:49pm, September 25, 2021): “I felt a little bit sorry for Alexander-Arnold on the right-hand side.
“Normally we have someone like Fabinho in there. You get him a cross. He really did well trying to keep inside within the post, his positioning was right, but when you have two or three, very, very difficult.”

How did Trent Alexander-Arnold play?
Given that there were six goals in the game, we can safely that it was a very entertaining match.
There were attacking moves throughout the 90 minutes, and Alexander-Arnold played his role.
However, the 22-year-old should have done better defensively and was exposed twice at the far post for the goals.
The England international took three shots but none was on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 80%, won one header, took 119 touches, made four tackles, four interceptions and one clearance, and put in 12 crosses.
Brentford made it hard for Liverpool, and it was not always easy for Alexander-Arnold, who is one of the best right-backs in the world.
You have to say that Brentford deservedly picked up a point from the match.
