Tam McManus has praised Rangers right-back Nathan Patterson on Twitter for his performance against Celtic at Ibrox this afternoon.
The former Hibernian forward, who now works as a pundit for PLZ Soccer, was impressed by the display produced by the Rangers defender during the Gers’ 2-0 win against Celtic at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup today.
With James Tavernier having only just recovered from injury, the 19-year-old Scotsman kept his place in the starting lineup.
McManus was impressed by Patterson, and he believes that the teenager should be considered for a place in the Scotland squad for the European Championship this summer.

Patterson is a very good and promising young right-back who has been playing well for Rangers in recent weeks.
The teenager was very good against Celtic today, as he was defensively strong and did well when he went on the attack.
Tavernier will stay as the first-choice right-back at Rangers, but now manager Steven Gerrard has a very capable back-up.
Meanwhile, former Rangers star Graham Roberts has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for Gerrard’s side.
