Arsenal have acknowledged the birthday of one of their most talked-about players.
William Saliba turned 20 today and the Gunners sent him a happy birthday message on social media platform Twitter.
Saliba is on loan at French side Nice after being deemed surplus to requirements under Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta in January.
He joined the North Londoners for £27 million in 2019 but it’ll be a minimum of two years before he makes a competitive debut for the club.
For whatever reason, head coach Arteta didn’t fancy Saliba during the first half of the campaign, following his return from a season-long loan with Saint Etienne, whom he joined the club from in 2019.
The big centre-back’s long-term future at the Emirates Stadium isn’t certain yet in spite of the fact he is making a big impression back in Ligue 1.
