Andy Townsend has said on talkSPORT (6:55pm, August 2, 2021) that Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore could be a good signing for Nuno’s Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion midfielder believes that working with new Tottenham head coach Nuno could help Traore improve and develop further.

Nuno worked with the former Villa winger at Wolves.

Tottenham Hotspur interest

The Daily Mail reported at the weekend that Tottenham are considering a bid for the 25-year-old.

Wolves are reportedly open to selling the former Middlesbrough star, but they want £45 million.

What Andy Townsend thinks

Townsend said about Traore on talkSPORT (6:55pm, August 2, 2021): “I still think there’s a lot more to come from this guy.

“We have seen flashes of his brilliance, but I think, again, another stage, another opportunity, maybe working for someone like Nuno, he has worked with him before, he knows how to get the best out of him, he could be a very interesting signing.”

Would Adama Traore make Tottenham better?

Tottenham’s reported interest in Traore suggests that they think that the winger will make the team better.

The former Barcelona prospect knows the Premier League and has done well in the division.

Traore is quick, can dribble, is very threatening with the ball, can whip in crosses, and is very strong.

Perhaps the winger needs to score more and provide more assists, but we should not forget that he is still only 25 and can get better.

Tottenham have signed a new winger in Bryan Gil this summer, but the Spain international is very young and could need a few more years to fully explode.
