Transfer Talk: Toure, Tevez, Subotic, Hoilett, and Ronaldo

The transfer window may be closed, but the rumour mill keeps on moving…

Toure to leave Manchester City! Surely not- there’s no way the club would allow Yaya to leave… oh Kolo, yeah sure.

Ever since, and even before, Kolo Toure‘s drug test ban last season, the Ivorian has been a bit-part player at the Etihad.

While his brother Yaya Toure is irreplaceable in midfield, Kolo’s time is surely up this summer.

The player admits he is likely to leave, previously courting PSG, but the Mail report he is a target for big-spending Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.

Toure to Russia?

The Carlos Tevez saga is far from over.

The Mirror report that his former club, Brazilians Corinthians have revived their plans to bring him back.

The move nearly went through in the summer, but the club decided they did not want to pay £40 million.

Now with Manchester City dropping the asking price to £25 million the paper claim the wheels are being put in motion for a move which would allow the Argentine to stay in South America.

Tevez to Brazil?

The Mail report that Manchester United are continuing their pursuit of Serbian defender Neven Subotic.

The Borussia Dortmund centre-back has supposedly been monitored by United for quite a while and the paper say the club are ready to make their move in the summer.

Competition for defensive spots at Old Trafford is already congested, especially with the acquisition of youngster Frederic Veseli in the transfer window, so we are not sure how this one will play out. With him likely to cost more than £15 million we see this one as a non-starter.

Subotic to Manchester United?

The Mirror are also reporting that German giants Bayern Munich are preparing to raid Blackburn Rovers for winger Junior Hoilett.

The Canadian is available on a free transfer in the summer, and there will be a scramble for his signature.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also both interested, and while it would be great to continue to watch Hoilett in the Premier League, you can understand why he would find Bayern impossible to turn down. He will need to keep his performance levels up between now and the end of the season to land his dream move.

Bayern Munich chase Hoilett

And finally, we ask if Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to ignite the flames of hate in Manchester by signing for United’s rivals Manchester City.

Reports are that he is unhappy at Real Madrid and is seeking a return to England, but with former club Manchester United unable to afford such a transfer- could he head to their rivals instead?
