The Mail is reporting that Arsenal and Tottenham are both in the chase to sign Stephane Sessegnon.
The Sunderland attacker has been in fine form since Martin O’Neill‘s arrival and it is no surprise to see him linked with such clubs.
The 27-year-old cost the club £6 million but if the Black Cats were to sell they would expect to at least double that fee.
The Mirror says that Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is eyeing a link-up with one of his former players.
Scott Dann played for McLeish at Birmingham and the paper reports he is considering a summer swoop for the star, now at Blackburn.
Which begs the question why did he not try to sign him last summer? Still there are reports that Dunne and Collins may be sold at the end of the season which would clear the way for Dann so this one is very viable.
Manchester United are eyeing up a swoop for James Rodriguez, who plays for Porto.
The 20-year-old Colombian has been dubbed the ‘new Cristiano Ronaldo‘ which is quite some tag.
Still he couldn’t stop his side losing 4-0 to Manchester City last week, when United scouts were reported to have been in the stands.
He did score a hat-trick in last year’s Portuguese Cup Final and has nine already this season, and would likely cost in the region of £25 million plus.
The Mirror report that Leeds United boss Neil Warnock is ready to make a signing from Bolton Wanderers.
His target is defender Paul Robinson, who the paper say could be brought in on an emergency loan, with the club suffering an injury crisis.
The defender has struggled for form this season and a change of scenery until the end of the season could do him good.
Chelsea are looking to add more width to their play by signing Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria.
The Argentinian would really add a new dimension to Chelsea’s game, but he would cost over £25 million and there is no indication Madrid want to sell.
This will be an interesting one to watch this summer, and if Chelsea are serious about reinventing themselves he would be just the player.
