Manchester United starlet Ravel Morrison is again the talk of the papers.
Last night on his Twitter feed he said a move to Manchester City was definitely not on his agenda.
So the Mirror outlandishly links him with a move to Roma.
How would the wildchild get on in a foreign country? We’re not so sure, we expect this is just paper talk but it would be fascinating to see a young English prospect try his luck abroad in Italy.
Sky Sports report that LA Galaxy are interested in bringing Frank Lampard across the Atlantic.
Is this likely to happen this month? No.
But it is a deal which you can’t rule out for the future, as his long-term prospects at Chelsea are currently far from assured.
However Lampard’s marital status, currently separated from the mother of his children, could present problems to a potential move to America.
How about Tottenham fringe player Niko Kranjcar swapping north London for west?
The Sun report that the Croatian is the subject of a £3 million bid from QPR.
He would be a good signing for QPR if they can get him, but Spurs are likely to demand a higher fee.
Currently despite Tottenham’s title push does not require any input from Kranjcar, and in Steven Pienaar, they already have a midfielder capable of filling in across the midfield positions.
A bid of £4 million or even £5 million should seal the deal, if QPR want to go that high.
One high fee being discussed, for a Championship club especially, is a £6 million bid for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic.
The club in question is West Ham United who are seeking a goalscorer to complete their promotion push.
The Hammers admit to being priced out of a move for Huddersfield‘s Jordan Rhodes, and Jelavic could be a good signing, but £6 million is a lot of money for anybody coming from the Scottish Premier League.
The SPL and the Championship are similar levels ability wise, so he should have no problem adapting, although he has also been linked with QPR and West Brom.
The last player to discuss today is Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong.
He nearly signed for QPR on deadline day in August, and now The Mirror reveal that he is wanted back in his native France, by both Lille and Lyon.
We think Newcastle should launch a bid to bring him back, but we also think Tottenham would be mad to let him go, considering how injury prone both William Gallas and Ledley King are proven to be.
