Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Arsenal, QPR, and Newcastle United are all preparing to make their moves this January…

All the last 24 hours transfer news and gossip you need to know in one place…

The Sun reveals today that Newcastle United have slapped a £15 million price tag on stopper Tim Krul.

The price actually sounds quite cheap, when you consider that Krul has been one of the outstanding goalkeepers this season in the Premier League, and is now a Dutch international.

He has at least 10 years left in him, and it has to be concerning for Geordies that Newcastle could invite bids for the ‘keeper.

Tottenham are rumoured to be interested, with goalkeeper Brad Friedel at the end of his career, and Chelsea too.

However we are extremely sceptical that Newcastle will cash in this month, despite Andy Carroll‘s move last January, and if any move was to happen it would not take place until the summer.

Krul to Spurs?

The Mail reports that Chelsea are emerging as lead contenders for one of Europe’s hot properties, Lille attacking midfielder Eden Hazard.

Arsenal have also previously been linked with his signature, but today’s reports are that Chelsea are preparing a huge £25 million bid.

The attacker has always said he will look for a move this summer, wanting to give one more season to Lille, so it would be a major coup if Chelsea were able to pull off his signature this January.

Chelsea certainly need some extra inspiration to fight off Arsenal and secure Champions League football, and could throw Florent Malouda or Didier Drogba into the deal.

Hazard to Chelsea?

The same paper also reveals that Arsenal have made Champions League winning defender Eric Abidal their number one target.

The defender can play as a full-back or centre-back, and his experience would be just what Arsenal need, with their defensive players injured or suspended.

Apparently he would be available for around £4 million, which would be a wise investment, and you can be sure Abidal wouldn’t let Arsenal down in the same way Squillaci has done.

Abidal to Arsenal?

It has long been known that Chelsea defender Alex has been up for sale, but so far there have been no takers.

The Brazilian is however a key target for QPR, who aim to wrap up the signing for as little as £3 million.

There is no love lost between the two west London rivals, and seeing Alex line up against counterpart John Terry would certainly add extra impetus to an already spicy relationship between the two clubs. This lunchtime, Chelsea confirmed they had indeed received a bid.

There may be an interest too from Tottenham, but Chelsea would prefer to sell to a club they are not in direct competition for place with.

Alex to QPR?

And finally, our early article today discusses Ravel Morrison, a young man with a lot of hype and reputation to one day live up to when he starts playing regularly.

The issue is, he feels he may have to move away from Manchester United to do so, with today’s Telegraph reporting the Red Devils are ready to give up on him, after internal disciplinary issues.

We are urging United not to give up on him, because if Sir Alex can’t help him find the right path, there may not be a manager who can, and nobody likes to see a gifted talent go to waste.
