Manchester United, Arsenal, Cardiff City, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Bolton Wanderers are all the talk of the papers today. Get the latest here.

The transfer window may be closed, but the rumour mill keeps on moving…

Manchester United have entered the race to join German sensation Mario Gotze according to the Daily Mail.

The Borussia Dortmund midfielder has been heavily linked with Arsenal and Italian side Juventus.

Only 19, he is valued at more than £30 million and is a German international, although Dortmund have given no indication they would be prepared to sell.

This sounds like Football Manager stuff to us, but who knows.

Gotze to Man United?

The Sun tell us this morning that Manchester United, again, are planning a £20 million swoop for Valencia defender Adil Rami.

I don’t know where the papers do their maths, but I thought the days of big transfers for United were long gone thanks to the Glazers.

The Frenchman played at the Britannia last night, reportedly in front of United’s scouts.

He is a centre-back, which United have plenty of, making the paper’s report even more doubtful.

Rami to Man United?

The Mirror report that Newcastle United reserve Peter Lovenkrands is wanted by Cardiff City on loan.

The Dane has never been a regular at St James’ but has chipped in with valuable contributions, but this season his chances have been far more limited.

He would be an asset to Cardiff, in their promotion chase, and surely he’d jump at the chance of more regular football.

Lovenkrands to Cardiff?

Tottenham Hotspur‘s planned transfer spree shows no sign of slowing down, if this report is to be believed.

The club are right in identifying central defence as a weak point in the club’s armoury, and they sent their scouts to Ajax last night.

They watched Jan Vertonghen play in the side’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester United and plan to watch him again.

The mail report that the centre-back could cost in the region of £12 million.

Vertonghen to Spurs?

Zambian hero Stopilla Sunzu is targeting a move to the Premier League after his side’s heroics in the African Nations Cup.

The defender once had a trial with Reading but says he wants a move to either Bolton or Chelsea.

We wonder how ACN opponent Didier Drogba would feel about that?

Sunzu to Chelsea?
