The Birmingham Mail report West Brom are keen to sign Martin Olsson from Blackburn Rovers, after the full-back handed in a transfer request earlier this week. The Swede is also being tracked by Aston Villa who are searching for a new left-back. The paper reports the Baggies are in talks with Rovers over a move.
It is also being reported that Everton are in for the Irish duo of Kevin Doyle and Stephen Ward, both of Wolves. Whether Wolves would agree to selling both after raising £24 million from the sales of Fletcher and Jarvis is a question mark over the double swoop. Everton signed Kevin Mirallas to partner Jelavic up front last weekend so they will not pay over the odds for Doyle and will quite happily stick with what they have if they feel they are being priced out.
Brendan Rodgers is confident the loan signing of Nuri Sahin will be tied up today, after revealing after Liverpool‘s last night’s win over Hearts negotiations were at an advanced stage. It would be a disappointment for Arsenal who thought at one stage they had convince the player to join.
The Mirror also report that Connor Wickham could make his Sunderland exit, with a loan move to Blackburn suggested. The Black Cats are close to sealing a deal for Wolves striker Steven Fletcher which would limit Wickham’s first team opportunities.
Victor Moses is ready to complete his move from Wigan to Chelsea after the Latics accepted Chelsea’s fifth offer for the player last night, The agreed fee is thought to be £9 million, and he now has to discuss personal terms and complete a medical.
