Chelsea, Newcastle United, Manchester United, QPR are the talk of the papers today.

All the rumour, gossip, and news you need to know from the last 24 hours

French full-back Mathieu Debuchy is certainly in-demand, and is impressing for his country at Euro 2012. Newcastle United were interested before the Euros and have been jolted into action by Chelsea‘s reported interest. However their £4 million bid for the right-back has been treated as derisory by Lille who have rejected it point blank, hoping for at least double that. Manchester United were also interested, but have offered Rafael a new contract.

Debuchy to Newcastle?

The transfer talk at Old Trafford is hotting up, with Nani expressing concern that he is being forced out. The winger had a disappointing season and has been linked with a big money move to Italian champions Juventus. The tabloids are already speculating about a potential replacement, and have identified Porto winger James Rodriguez as a man United are interested in. The Colombian is 20, and already rated at £25 million, and has admitted he would love a move to the Red Devils.

Rodriguez to replace Nani?

A player who is near-certain to exit Old Trafford is Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov. United have made no secret of the fact he is up for sale, and Spanish big spenders Malaga are poised to make their move. The Mail report Malaga are looking at Berbatov as a cheaper alternative to Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, as they prepare for their upcoming Champions League campaign. The 31-year-old made just 10 starts last season for Manchester United but still scored nine times.

Berbatov finally off?

Fresh off signing the duo of Ryan Nelsen and Andy Johnson, QPR boss Mark Hughes is preparing to add another new face to his squad. The man in question is one who could cause another headache, Stephen Ireland. Ireland is currently at Aston Villa but has been strongly linked with a move to the MLS. The midfielder played under Hughes at Manchester City and would strengthen the midfield with Joey Barton facing a 12-game suspension.

Ireland to QPR?

Finally a West Ham and QPR target who both clubs could be about to miss out on is Nigerian striker Yakubu. The Blackburn Rovers striker is wanted in China to join Guangzhao where he would earn a whopping £5 million per year. The striker is 29 and has a clause in his contract allowing him to be signed on the cheap, and Premier League clubs may just have one last crack at persuading him to join.
