Manchester United hero Cristiano Ronaldo has sent United hearts a-fluttering by refusing to rule out a return to Old Trafford.
He was featured on a Spanish television show after being questioned by former teammate Rio Ferdinand last weekend.
We feel Ronaldo would love a return to the Premier League at one stage, but are doubtful whether United would be able to afford the Real Madrid superstar.
The Mail report this morning that Blackburn Rovers rebel Christopher Samba could be a target for Russian club Anzhi Machackala.
The side is managed by Guus Hiddink and have Samuel Eto’o up front, and it is rumoured they are willing to pay £12 million for Samba.
The deal is reported to be almost complete, as the Russian transfer window nears a close.
Unwanted striker Nicklas Bendtner is set to leave England, according to The Sun.
He was desperate to leave Arsenal last summer, and the fans were hardly begging him to stay, but he could not secure a move to a club of his choice and had to settle for a loan to Sunderland instead.
It has not gone well, despite a promising start, and the Black Cats are unlikely to be willing to pay for his services.
The Sun say he is after a move to Italy or Spain.
Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is back courting Robbie Keane.
He says he would have the striker back at the club in a flash, and hopes to either tie up a permanent deal in the summer or set up another loan move in January.
Keane has returned to LA Galaxy after scoring three goals during his short loan move.
The Mail report that Newcastle United are pursuing a deal for French midfielder Roman Amalfitano.
He plays for Stade de Reims but will be a free agent in the summer.
The paper report that the Magpies are attempting to tie up an agreement with the 22-year-old now before any other clubs pip them to the deal.
