Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, QPR, and Tottenham Hotspur are all the talk of the papers today. Get the latest here.

All the last 24 hours transfer news and gossip you need to know in one place…

Could Manchester United make a sensational move for German star Michael Ballack?

SkyBet are offering odds of 5/2 that the former Chelsea midfielder arrives at Old Trafford after his club Bayer Leverkusen put him on the transfer market.

Sir Alex Ferguson likes a veteran but surely a midfield of Giggs, Scholes, and Ballack, 35, would be the Premier League’s oldest ever?

We think you’d be a brave man to bet on this one, he’d be almost as likely to end up joining Nicolas Aneka in China, or may be QPR?

The Sun report that Arsene Wenger is plotting a bid to bring Adrian Mariappa from Watford to Arsenal.

We’re a bit sceptical whether this one will come off either, it was only last week Watford manager Sean Dyche rebuffed Newcastle‘s approach, demanding £4 million.

We all know from the Gary Cahill saga last summer that when Wenger gets a figure of how much a player is worth in his head, he will not go above it.

Mariappa is sure to be unsettled by all the speculation, and may demand a move, but whether it will be Arsenal he lands up at remains to be seen.

Mariappa to Arsenal?

Another day, another audacious bid for Carlos Tevez from Liverpool.

This time Andy Carroll has been removed from the proposed swap deal, offering to take Tevez on loan.

Whether this is an improved offer or not we can’t be sure, but we can’t see what would be in this for Manchester City.

Still, imagine a Suarez and Tevez partnership rocking into play at Old Trafford in two weeks time…

Tevez to Liverpool?

The Mail reports that former Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse could be set to sign for QPR.

After a spell at Sunderland and then in Greece, the now nomadic forward is said to be keen to join the Mark Hughes revolution at Loftus Road.

Saturday’s defeat to Chelsea showed the club need a striker, with loan signing Federico Macheda yet to score.

The paper claim the move is nearly nailed on, with his club Lazio happy to let him go out on loan.

The Metro report that Tottenham are still pursuing long-term target Leandro Damiao.

PSG are after the Brazilian international’s signature and Manchester United have also been reported to be interested.

If Spurs can do a deal ahead of the transfer window it would be a major coup, but at this point PSG seem favourites.
