Rangers have been linked with the likes of Graham Dorrans, Steven Naismith and Kenny McLean as Pedro Caixinha aims to put his stamp on the squad.

Pedro Caixinha’s globetrotting managerial career, taking him to faraway lands Mexico and Qatar, meant many expected him to bring in a raft of oversees imports during the off-season.
However, early rumours suggest nothing of the sort. Instead, the Portuguese appears to be attempting to instil a distinctly domestic spine in his Rangers team – perhaps tinted with a little continental flair.
Veteran striker Kenny Miller, currently in his third spell at Ibrox, will be sticking around for another season after finally putting pen to paper on his long-awaited new contract. And, just a few weeks earlier, Caixinha appointed former Gers winger Jonathan Johansson to his coaching staff for his knowledge of the Scottish game.
Furthermore, according to the Evening Times, Caixinha was attempting to raid league rivals Aberdeen for star man Kenny McLean (below) and out-of-contract skipper Ryan Jack. Rangers have also been linked with former Falkirk defender Will Vaulks and Scotland internationals Graham Dorrans and Steven Naismith.

Therefore, it appears that Caixinha is attempting to compensate for his lacking of experience in Scottish domestic football by signing players who know the league like the back of their hand.
Any deal may be easier said than done, especially with Aberdeen unlikely to entertain offers from the side just below them in the league table.
However, after the baffling transfer policy employed by previous manager Mark Warburton, seemingly based around snapping up as many affordable veterans as possible, at least Caixinha appears to have a coherent plan in place.
