Liverpool are reportedly leading the race to sign Burnley’s highly rated central defender Michael Keane.

The 24-year-old defender has made it clear (Sky Sports) that he will leave the club at the end of the season.

A hots of Premier League clubs like Everton and Manchester United (Liverpool Echo) – have been linked with a move for Keane, but it seems Liverpool are leading the race.

According to reports from The Sun, the Burnley defender could be on his way to Anfield in the summer, in a deal thought to be in the region of £30 million.

The report adds that Jurgen Klopp, the Reds manager is looking to make Keane the mainstay of his defence for the next season.

French giants keen to sign Olivier Giroud

Ligue 1 giants Marseille are reportedly trying to sign Olivier Giroud from Arsenal.

According to reports from Sky Sports, Giroud is Marseille’s first choice transfer target, and the French club are willing to pay £20 million for the 30-year-old striker.

Giroud has a contract at Arsenal till 2020, but Marseille believe they can convince him to return to France at the end of the season.

The French striker has enjoyed great goal scoring form this season, despite Arsene Wenger preferring Alexis Sanchez as his main striker. Giroud has scored 13 times from only 14 starts this season.
