A round-up of the latest transfer gossip around Europe as Manchester United chase Benfica star.

It’s been a busy old January transfer window so far. We’ve had some seriously big moves from Premier League clubs and clubs around Europe.

Timo Werner has joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan, along with Radu Dragusin, Jadon Sancho has reunited with Borussia Dortmund on loan and Vitor Roque has linked up with Xavi at Barcelona.

But we’re still yet to see some of the biggest January transfers yet. So with this – here is a round-up of Sunday’s transfer rumours in the papers brought to you by HITC Football.

HITC Football Paper Transfer Round-up

The Mail report that Brentford are in talks over a move for 27-year-old Tottenham and Spain defender Sergio Reguilon. Reguilon has just departed from Manchester United on loan but could be out again immediately with the Bees buzzing around him.

Crystal Palace are hoping to complete a £10m deal for Genk’s 27-year-old Colombia defender Daniel Munoz – report The Sun. Roy Hodgson is looking to strengthen his Eagles backline heading into the second half of the season and believes the Columbian is the man for the job.

The Sunday Mirror suggest West Ham are ready to up their interest in £20m-rated Sunderland winger Jack Clarke. The Championship man has been electric for the Black Cats this season, catching the attention of some of England’s top clubs.

The Mirror suggest Manchester United want to open talks with Benfica over a summer deal for 19-year-old Portugal midfielder Joao Neves. The highly-rated defensive midfielder is one of Europe’s hottest prospects, with a whopping £103m release clause, but the Red Devils may have their foot in the door with a deal with Alvaro Fernandez heading the other way.

Sky Sports reports that Midfielder Jesse Lingard has sacked his agent as he looks for a new club following his release from Nottingham Forest. Lingard has been linked with numerous sides, but nothing has materialised as his search goes on.

Elsewhere in Europe, Sky Germany suggests Juventus have joined Napoli and Galatasaray in wanting to sign Nottingham Forest’s Orel Mangala on loan. The 25-year-old is a highly sought-after man.
