Here is HITC’s transfer round-up consisting of all the biggest football rumours in Europe.
It was an interesting weekend of football. The Premier League games were few and far between, but we still were treated to some corkers. The best of the bunch had to be Manchester City vs Newcastle United, where Oscar Bobb rounded the keeper and rounded an epic comeback for the Cityzens.
Meanwhile, transfer-mad Tottenham Hotspur drew 2-2 to United at Old Trafford – with Timo Werner making his debut. He has been one of the biggest stories this window so far.
But we’re still yet to see some of the biggest January transfers yet. So with this – here is a round-up of Monday’s transfer rumours in the papers brought to you by HITC Football.

HITC Football Paper Transfer Round-up
Liverpool are willing to sell 24-year-old Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher for £20m this summer, report the Mirror. Jurgen Klopp has already identified Sunderland’s 23-year-old former England Under-21 international Anthony Patterson as his replacement.
Ex-Liverpool man Jordan Henderson, who has been linked with Ajax and Juventus, is set to stay in Saudi Arabia for the rest of the season. The Mail reports that this is because Al-Ettifaq is unlikely to let the 33-year-old go. However, ESPN claims that Ajax coach Schip says there is “serious talk” going on with Henderson about bringing him to the Eredivisie. He still has time to formulate a move yet.
The Daily Express say Chelsea have added Manchester United defender Luke Shaw to their shortlist and have discussed him as a potential January signing. The long-serving United man is thought to be in high regard as Chelsea chase a left-back.
The Daily Record suggest Steven Gerrard‘s Al Ettifaq are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Ryan Kent, with the former Rangers boss keen to reunite with the winger. Elsewhere in Saudi Arabia, Marca reports that Karim Benzema‘s future at Al-Ittihad is uncertain. This comes after he missed training and was subsequently excluded from the club’s winter training camp.
