Nathaniel Clyne
England international Nathaniel Clyne is to undergo a medical at Liverpool today (Monday 29), report the Liverpool Echo.
The right-back is poised to complete a move from Southampton after the two clubs agreed a fee in the region of £12.5 million.
Clyne had just one year remaining on his contract at St Mary’s, prompting the Saints to cash in. He replaces Glen Johnson whose contract expires at the end of this month.
ESPN had reported earlier this month that the defender was a transfer target for Premier League rivals Manchester United.
Arturo Vidal
Arsenal are not interested in signing Chile international midfielder Arturo Vidal, report The Sun.
The Juventus midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to the Gunners, with The Star one of many outlets to report hours earlier that Arsenal and the Italian champions had agreed a fee.
Vidal is an international teammate of Gunners star Alexis Sanchez and the pair even share the same agent, but The Sun‘s report claims Vidal was never on their radar.
It is unclear as to whether Juventus would entertain selling in any case, and at what price.
