Celtic should consider Marc McNulty.

Marc McNulty is one of five players transfer listed by Reading after a disappointing start to the season for the Royals, the Reading Chronicle report.

The striker may not be short of suitors either after a prolific season for Coventry City last year, in which he scored 23 goals.

McNulty might be a player who Celtic should consider, given Brendan Rodgers’ past links with former club Reading.

Edinburgh born McNulty has history with Celtic too, he spent three years in their academy between 2003 and 2006, before leaving for Hibernian.

McNulty eventually made his breakthrough at Livingston, and earned a move to Sheffield United in 2014.

His season at Reading has not gone to plan after a big move in the summer, after the manager who signed him, Paul Clement, was fired.

Celtic need strikers, and McNulty is one player who would arrive with a huge point to prove.

He showed his talent at Coventry last season and Brendan Rodgers should try to do a loan deal to see if he can get anything out of him.

The 26-year-old has plenty more to offer, and as Celtic look to strengthen, they should give him a chance to compete with a belated second chance.
