The futures of Roma coach Rudi Garcia and ex-Arsenal man Gervinho are contractually linked, according to reports in the Italian media.
Gervinho was a flop at Arsenal, but he has been rejuvenated by his move to Roma and has made his mark in Serie A this term.
The Ivory Coast international already has seven goals to his name this season and has been decisive on several occasions for the Giallorossi.
The 26-year-old’s form will have left Arsenal fans scratching their heads as Gervinho was much maligned during his stay in North London.
Roma are determined that Garcia will remain in the Eternal City for the long term and club president James Pallotta has stressed that he wants him at the helm for years to come.
However, the Lupi know that if they lose Garcia to a bigger club then Gervinho is likely to follow hot on his heels.
Apparently, Garcia was very vocal in his desire to bring Gervinho to the club last summer when Roma paid just £6.6m for him.
