Transfer news featuring Darren Fletcher, Danny Ings and Glen Johnson.
Fletch to leave
Reports this evening are reporting that Manchester United stalwart Darren Fletcher is on his way out of the club to join West Ham. The Telegraph are reporting that the Scottish international is set to leave Old Trafford for The Hammers after nearly 20 years with the Red Devils.
The 30-year-old, who was named as vice-captain of United in pre-season, is expected to negotiate a release from the final six months of his United contract with West Ham reportedly his likely destination.
Fletcher has struggled for first-team football this season, playing just 12 games in all competitions.
Ing-coming at Spurs
Tottenham are said to be stepping up their interest in the signature of Burnley star Danny Ings. The Daily Mail report that Ings is the new target for the club, as they will not pay the £20 million asking price for Saido Berahino of West Brom.
Ings has shown his talent in the Premier League this season, scoring seven goals this season.
His contract expires in the summer and the report claims Tottenham will try and tempt The Clarets with a £5 million offer.
No Roman holiday for Glen
The Daily Star are reporting that Glen Johnson is set to reject a move to AS Roma, in order to stay at Liverpool.
The England international is out of contract in the summer and the 30-year-old’s future at Liverpool has been in doubt for a while now.
But with Steven Gerrard leaving Rodgers wants experienced heads in the team and Johnson fits the bill.
