Trae Young has not yet played a game for the Washington Wizards, but he has already been ejected while representing the team.
The recently acquired guard was thrown out during Monday night’s 123-118 loss to the Houston Rockets despite being inactive.
Young remains sidelined with knee and quadriceps injuries and has not made his on-court debut for Washington. His involvement came from the bench rather than the lineup.

Trae Young tossed after leaving bench during altercation
The sequence began in the third quarter when Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason shoved Wizards player Jamir Watkins to the floor. A confrontation followed before officials regained control.
Trae Young, dressed in street clothes, stepped onto the court to protest the no-call. Officials immediately issued an automatic ejection for leaving the bench area.
Following the game, Young reacted on social media and made light of the situation. He also pledged to bring energy once he officially takes the court.
“Don’t expect me to get ejected too many more times, D.C… but I’m definitely bringing that energy & competitiveness when I’m back for my brothers!”
The moment marked Young’s first visible appearance as a Wizard since his January trade from the Atlanta Hawks. Washington sent CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert in the deal.
Debut expected later this week
Young has not played since December 27 due to knee and quadriceps issues, appearing in 10 games this season while averaging 19.3 points and 8.9 assists.
A move to the Washington Wizards seemingly came out of nowhere, as the former All-Star was seen as a target for contending teams.
The Wizards have hinted that Young could debut Thursday against the Utah Jazz with a minutes restriction between 17 and 20 minutes. Most of those minutes are projected to come in the first half.
Earlier Monday, Young posted workout footage in Wizards gear with the caption “March 5th.” While his first moment in a Wizards setting ended abruptly, his official debut appears close.
