Leeds United loanee Caleb Ekuban is a big hit in Turkey.

Leeds United striker Caleb Ekuban is clearly loving his spell in Turkey.
The Leeds attacker was sent on loan to Trabzonspor last summer and has really impressed the Turkish club’s fans.
He strengthened his own perception among the supporters on Saturday with an excellent display in the 2-1 win over Akhisar.
Ekuban, a £500,000 signing by Leeds in the summer of 2017 [Yorkshire Evening Post], didn’t score or set up a goal, but it was another hard-working display from the Italy-born forward.
The 24-year-old posted a post-match photo and message on Instagram, writing: “HWPO!! Just in case u forget or just in case you don’t know..!? That means HARD WORK PAYS OFF! Always.”
Here’s how Trabzonspor fans responded:
rdwnerdm1: You king
ffsbenno: Bossman
beyzanurbirinc: Man of the year
batuhansanal61: Hulk
bordooo_maviiii_1967: The kıng
mahmutali_61: Machine
dogukansivrikaya: Supermannnn
Fotomac reported last month that Trabzonspor would do a deal with United to sign him on a permanent basis before the end of the season.
It’s really no surprise to see the Turkish fans take to Ekuban who, despite a lack of any great ability in the goalscoring department at Leeds, did impress the Elland Road faithful.
Hard work goes a long way in any field, and the same is true in football. Supporters respect a solid attitude and commitment and Ekuban – who scored twice in 22 games for United last season – has those in abundance.
