Tottenham’s first opponents at their new stadium will be Liverpool on September 15 – and both sets of supporters are relishing the fixture.

The Premier League fixtures list was published on Thursday morning, and Tottenham’s first ever opponents at their brand new stadium will be Liverpool on September 15, as announced by the club on their official website.
The Lilywhites will play their first home game of the season against Fulham at Wembley after asking the Premier League’s permission.
Spurs open against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park, before hosting Fulham at Wembley. They then travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, and then Vicarage Road in game week five to play Watford, before finally hosting Liverpool at their new ground on September 15 – and fans of both sides are already buzzing for it.

Spurs will be keen to make a positive start to life in their new home – which still doesn’t have an official name yet – by beating the side they finished one place above in the Premier League table last season.
The sides played out two brilliant games last season – particularly the 2-2 draw at Anfield, and so it’s easy to understand the hype surrounding the match.

Here are some of the reactions to the news from both sets of fans on Twitter:
