Celtic legend Chris Sutton reckons Stuart Armstrong’s lack of commitment should see him sold without hestiation this summer.

Celtic midfielder Stuart Armstrong hasn’t put pen to paper on a new deal with the Bhoys. In the eyes of club legend Chris Sutton, that means he should be sold – and the fans appear to share his opinion.
Armstrong has been with the club since 2015 after signing from Dundee United, and has been named in the PFA Scotland Team of the Year on three occasions since turning professional.
As reported by the Herald via BBC Sport, Premier League side Southampton are ready to make a move for Armstrong, who only has one year remaining on his current deal.
Armstrong only penned a two-year deal last summer, but the Hoops risk losing him for nothing in a year’s time, and Sutton believes it’s best for the club to cash in on him now if he’s not going to commit to signing another extension.

It is thought the Saints would have to stump up around £6 million to land Armstrong, and they’ll be keen to get a deal over the line having missed out on James Maddison.
Following Sutton’s take on Twitter that the player’s ‘lack of commitment’ is a major factor in the situation, the majority of Celtic supporters were quick to agree with their ex-striker:
