Newcastle United are reportedly open to selling Aleksandar Mitrovic this summer and it would allegedly take around £20million to get him.

The Serbian striker joined the club in 2015 from Anderlecht for a reported £13 million and is well liked by Magpies supporters for his work rate and attitude.
He was loaned out halfway through last season to Fulham, where he scored 12 goals in 17 Championship appearances. But the majority of Newcastle fans would like to see the 23-year-old given another chance at St. James’ Park, now that he has had time to find his feet and some goal-scoring form in English football.

With the news that Newcastle have set a £20 million asking price for the striker though, could they be acting a little hasty over someone who has a fair bit to offer?
Mitrovic was undeniably rash in his debut season in the Premier League, but the star is much better at channelling his aggressive style now, and he has finally got his eye in.

By naming his price tag, whatever you think of it, Newcastle are sending out the message that they would be happy to lose him ahead of the 2018/19 season.
Last term, Dwight Gayle did not really cut it, Islam Slimani has gone back to Leicester City and Ayoze Perez only came good towards the end. For Newcastle’s sake, Mitrovic and his new found maturity have to be worth another punt.
