Leeds United have secured a deal for another talented Japanese youngster.

Following the acquisition of midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi, Leeds United have secured a deal for another Japanese prospect in forward Yuta Toyokawa.
With Ideguchi having been loaned to Spanish second division side Cultural Leonesa, Toyokawa has also been sent out on temporary transfer, joining Belgian side Eupen for the remainder of the campaign, as reported by the club’s official website.
However, while Ideguchi has already won eleven caps for Japan, Toyokawa, who is almost two years older than his compatriot, has yet to receive international recognition at senior level.

That indicates that Toyokawa has some way to go to reach the standards set by ldeguchi, with the latter appearing to be the player that seems closer to being able to step up to the Leeds first-team.
It will be intriguing to see how the pair fare during their loan ventures, but Toyokawa, who has played for Japan at various youth levels, will be especially determined to impress and prove that Leeds made the correct decision in signing him.

Signed from Kashima Antlers, Toyokawa had been on loan at Japanese second division side Fagiano Okayama, for whom he scored 20 goals and provided seven assists in 78 appearances.
It is now up to Toyokawa to impress in Belgium and persuade Leeds that he could have an impact in the first-team next season.
