Alan Shearer mocked Arsenal midfielder Daniel Ceballos on Match of the Day 2 on BBC One (11:07pm, May 9, 2021).
The Newcastle United legend, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, said that Ceballos was “towing a truck” while chasing West Bromwich Albion winger Matheus Pereira.
The 25-year-old Brazilian, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, scored a wonderful goal against Arsenal on Sunday evening.
Midway through the second half at the Emirates Stadium, Pereira ran from inside his own half to score a stunning individual goal.
Ceballos, on loan from Real Madrid, was trying to chase him, but the 24-year-old Spain international midfielder failed to catch him in the end.
While analysing the goal on Match of the Day 2 on BBC One (11:07pm, May 9, 2021), Shearer said: “Look where he picks it up. Ceballos is towing a truck there, isn’t he? He is never going to get near him at all.”
It was a brilliant goal from Pereira. In fact, it was one of the best in the Premier League this season.

Ceballos is not having the best of seasons, and although he did relatively well in the middle of the park against West Brom and played some good passes, his failure to stop Pereira in his run is something that most fans will remember from this game.
The 24-year-old Spain international is in his second season on loan at Arsenal and is scheduled to go back to his parent club Real Madrid.
It will be interesting to see if Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta decides to bring Ceballos back on loan for another season or if he chooses to find alternatives.
